Hannosset started as a player with Villers 59, before\nbecoming a coach for Waterloo in 2008. From there, he progressed to the\nposition of Technical Director, while also coaching the U12 team at Floreffe.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">In 2013, at the request of coach Y\u00e9rime Sylla, Hannosset joined the\ntechnical staff of the men\u2019s national team. On an administrative level,\nHannosset has served for almost 10 years with the Ligue Francophone de Handball\nand been part of the joint governing body of Belgian handball for six.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">\u201cSince I first came into contact with handball as a student at the\nSaint-Servais College in Li\u00e8ge, where Jean Philippe Dubuc managed physical\neducation, I have been very fond of it. After my active player career, it has\nbecome a passion \u2013 first as a trainer, then as technical director and soon as\nchairman. It shows that people with a healthy ambition, with motivation and\nperseverance are able to set things in motion,\u201d said Hannosset.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Hannosset prioritises growth and continued development as his key goals\ngoing forward, while emphasising the team aspect of handball and how that also\napplies in the workings of a federation.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">\u201cI would like to get more people to play handball so that our handball\nfamily continues to grow. The further development of youth handball is another\nambition. I notice as coach of the U12 from Floreffe how much fun the sport\nbrings and, at the same time, how the boys are hungry,\u201d said Hannosset.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">\u201cAt the same time, those players also inspire me. Just look at the \u2018Red\nWolves\u2019 [men\u2019s national team] where youth stands up, where young players get\nopportunities and seize, where young players take responsibility. I hope that\nthe \u2018Black Arrows\u2019 [women\u2019s national team] continue during my presidency \u2013 that\nwe can find the means to offer the girls the same opportunities. But I am also\na realist. Let us proceed step by step without making bold statements.\u201d&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Moons announced last year that he would step down from being President due\nto health problems, after holding the position since 2016.
