BRAVE RED WOLVES TOO SMALL FOR CROATIA

The Red Wolves lost their international match against Croatia 22–34 on Wednesday evening in the Alverberg in Hasselt. Halfway through the match, the score was 8–16 in favour of the Croatians. Jeroen De Beule played his last match for the Red Wolves. In the other match, Luxembourg lost 22–35 at home to the Czech Republic.

RED WOLVES SELECTION

On Thursday afternoon, national coach Cherif Hamani announced his selection for the final international matches of the qualifying campaign ahead of the European Handball Championship, which will be held from 15 January 2026 to 1 February 2026 in Norway, Sweden and Denmark.

WINNERS OF LOTTO HANDBALL CUP

Handbal Sint-Truiden and Sezoens Achilles Bocholt win the Lotto Handball Cup

On Saturday afternoon, the finals of the Lotto Handball Cup were played at the Alverberg in Hasselt. In the women’s final, Handbal Sint-Truiden defeated Sprimont 21–23. Halfway through the match, Sint-Truiden was leading 10–12. This is the sixth cup win in Sint-Truiden’s history. In the men’s competition, Sezoens Achilles Bocholt defeated Hubo Handbal 28–31. At half-time, Hubo Handbal was leading 14–13. This is Bocholt’s eighth cup win in its history.

BLACK ARROWS DRAW

In the early evening in Cluj-Napoca, Romania, the draw was made for the qualifications of the 2026 European Handball Championship, which will be held from 3 to 20 December in Poland, Romania, the Czech Republic, Slovakia and Turkey.

In these qualifiers, Belgium will face Germany, Slovenia and North Macedonia. A total of six matches will be played.
