Strong Black Arrows defeat Luxembourg and qualify for qualification round European Championship!

The Black Arrows, Belgium’s women’s handball team, convincingly defeated Luxembourg 33-23 on Saturday evening in Nicosia. At half-time the score was 17-10. After their victory on Friday night against Cyprus, the Black Arrows are already certain of winning the tournament, which means that in the autumn they will be able to participate in the qualifying round for the 2026 European Championships for the first time in their existence. In a short period of time, national coach Clément Petit and his staff have enabled the Black Arrows to take a giant step forward.

The Black Arrows defeated Cyprus 18-21 on Friday night. Halfway through the game, the score was 12-12. The Belgians have made an excellent start to the European Championship pre-qualification tournament. They will play Luxembourg on Saturday night. The winner of the tournament will be allowed to participate in the European Championship qualifiers in the autumn.
