Black Arrows show grit and character against world runners-up Germany
The Black Arrows lost their final European Championship qualifier against Germany 45–25 on Sunday evening. At half-time, the score was 22–14. Following their heavy home defeat against Slovenia earlier this week, the Black Arrows showed grit and character against the world runners-up, who qualify for the European Championship with a perfect record of six wins from as many matches.

The Belgian women’s handball team suffered a heavy home defeat against Slovenia on Wednesday evening. By half-time, the score was 6–20. The match eventually ended 14–36. With just one match remaining, the Black Arrows have been eliminated from the European Championship.

On Wednesday morning, national coach Clément Petit announced his final squad for the Black Arrows’ final qualifying campaign ahead of the European Championship, which will be held across five countries this December.

On Wednesday 8 April, the Black Arrows will play their third and final home match of this European Championship qualifying campaign at 8.10 pm at the Alverberg in Hasselt. Following their fantastic performance and victory against North Macedonia, everyone is dreaming of more. Securing a single point at home would be worth its weight in gold. Two points would be a real coup.
