Following their fantastic performance and victory against North Macedonia, everyone is dreaming of more. Securing a single point at home would be worth its weight in gold. On Wednesday, the Red Wolves suffered a narrow defeat in Greece, but the gap is certainly not insurmountable and qualification for the third round is therefore still possible. The Red Wolves lost the first match of the second World Cup qualifier in Greece 29–26. The Belgians enjoyed a strong spell at the start of both halves, but were unable to maintain that level of performance. At half-time, the Greeks led 16–13. The return leg will be played in Hasselt on Saturday.
