EVERYBODY PLAYS!

With the project “Everybody Plays! – G-Handball as a Driver of Inclusion”, the Royal Belgian Handball Federation took an important step forward in strengthening inclusive handball in Belgium. Thanks to the valued support of the National Lottery, the initiative created sustainable opportunities for athletes with disabilities through strong club engagement, national coordination and concrete on-court activities.

The project will officially conclude on 4 March during the G-Handball Day in Hasselt, ahead of the Black Arrows international match — marking not an end, but a continued and long-term commitment to inclusion within Belgian handball.

UNIFORM COMPETITION STRUCTURE

From the 2026–2027 season, KBHB/URBH will implement a uniform competition structure for all national senior leagues (men and women).

The reform aims to improve clarity, uniformity and stability, is the result of an in-depth evaluation and broad consultation with clubs, and strengthens both the sporting and organisational value of the national competitions.

NEW STREAMING PLATFORM

The Royal Belgian Handball Federation announces a long-term partnership with Sportway to launch a new national streaming platform for Belgian handball.

Sportway will install more than 50 AI camera systems across the country, enabling the live and on-demand streaming of over 70 percent of all official matches from the 2026–2027 season onward.
The platform will increase the visibility of the sport, support player, coach and referee development through video analysis, and create new opportunities for clubs and partners.
