
The Belgian women’s handball team beat North Macedonia 26–25 in Hasselt on Wednesday evening. Halfway through the match, the score was 14–15 in favour of the visitors. In the second half, the Black Arrows faced a four-goal deficit. But the Belgians continued to believe in their chances, gradually reducing their deficit to take the lead for the first time in the final moments of the match. The visitors came back once more, but with just over a minute to play, Fien Boons secured Belgium’s first victory in a European Championship qualifier.
